If you love using tonal papers in your journal spreads, then this is the pack for you! This selection is full of genuine vintage ephemera that is perfect for backgrounds and layering. I carefully curate each pack so the colours pair well together, making for super easy aesthetically pleasing spread creation. Many hours have been put in to sourcing different papers to give you the most unique selection possible! Most pieces are double sided too, giving you even more choice when creating.
YOUR PACK WILL BE SENT AT RANDOM. While there may be similarities between different ephemera packs in my store, no two will ever be exactly the same. The listing photos are to serve as an example of what you will receive.
***DETAILS***
Your ephemera pack of 32 items will include:
- Two text based book pages in different sizes (folded to fit in the envelope)
- Five used vintage postal stamps, both on and off paper
- 25 pieces of assorted ephemera. About half of these will be text based with the remainder being pictorial or blank for writing (please see photos for examples of what you will receive). Most of this ephemera is vintage with approximately two - four pieces per pack being made from new paper.
I do not alter this ephemera in any way (apart from cutting). This is to give you a blank slate for your own creations.
This will all be packaged and sealed in a 220mm x 110mm glassine envelope.
***WHAT TO EXPECT***
I source my ephemera from a range of vintage items including dictionaries, novels, children's material, encyclopaedias', guide books, sewing patterns, music scores and more! I also source a range of different paper stocks such as glossy, textured and matte to add more variety to your pack(s). I do not use imitation vintage ephemera unless explicitly stated.
My entire vintage collection encompasses a huge date range, from 1890 - early 2000's. This means that some of the ephemera you receive will show signs of its age including foxing*, tears, marks and writing . I choose to include pieces with these 'imperfections' as I feel they are beautiful and tell a story all on their own. If you do not like these marks on your ephemera then this might not be the pack for you.
*Foxing (also known as age spots) is an age related process of deterioration in paper that is caused by the oxidization of chemicals or acids within the pulp from which the paper was made. Foxing does not affect the integrity of the paper and is safe to touch and use (rest assured is it NOT mould. Mould is usually white/black with a furry appearance and has a distinct unpleasant smell that is different from 'old book' smell).
